Covington arrives in American

Our Covington ancestry begins in February 20th 1670 with Henry Covington coming to Maryland (Queen Annes County) with William Pettus, a London Merchant, as noted in the First Settlers List.

I have a book on the Covingtons titled "Covingtons Along The Catawba", 1978, written by my cousin Sidney Harold Covington. He also references a book, "My Folk, The first three hundred years, 1670-1970.

Henry Covington b. Eng, immigrated to America February 20 1670. Lived on "Providence Plantation" Queen's Anne's County, MD. m.before 1717 (1) Sarah Hawkins who may have been mother of John Covington, Jr. Henry may have been husband of Mary Blakiston who died before 1744 in QA's CTY. He probably had brother, Nehemiah, b. ca 1680-89.
